Mikve in the middle of nowhere... gah (and generally OOT stuff)

During shabbes I realized that it's basically impossible to escape that I will have to go to mikve:
-while at the in laws
-wayyyyy out of town

Ooops.
We don't really "believe" in mikve while at someone, but when you have such short cycles as me these days (BH the house is so huge they won't see us coming and going)... you have to. We also don't ( Read more... )

maybe it would be easier to find a lake or river and go skinny dipping?

I would be afraid of the possibly cold water, also there are often bits of glass... even my dad had a glass accident as a teen in a supposedly clean river!

I'm with the above commentator, there's gotta be a clean, private body of water closer than 350 kms. In August? There must be. Either way, you're a saint for doing it even under these circumstances, may it lead to good things!

I wouldn't know where to find a clean and kosher one... too many women have been told "the lake is clean", and discovered the town waste goes there or there is glass or whatever.

OK, possible waste water is a big NO in the list of considerations. Ugh. Good luck, I hope you find something that's convenient and hygienic and, if it's not too much to ask, not too unpleasant!
