Shabbes, parasha, Simchat Torah

This was an incredibly hard shabbes.

Mati was still a bit sick (had fever and all for a few days) but she was well enough for boredom and demanding her daycare friends. She wouldn't stop yelling and shrieking, as happened before she went to daycare. It was really annoying for everyone around. It has been 3 days now she hasn't seen a kid, that's why. I fear Sunday, although if we go out somewhere maybe she'll have some distraction and not be so hard.

I will try now to read the parasha & explanation every week, bli neder. I want to get some level before I settle in a very frum area, although I suppose few women have read the whole Bible with commentaries in France, with the exception of the converts and maybe the American and Israeli sems?

The book is "La Paracha - Leket Eliaou", by R' Hassan, Bitton, Chaya & Goldshmitt. Recommended by R' Poultorak, Lévy & Benchétrit.
For the non French, I would say it's light charedi & Litvish leaning. Found it in my husband's book collection. I hope I keep up with it and don't abandon like last year. Hum.
Maybe I really need to re-try to learn to read Hebrew. I always resisted my mom, out of laziness. Much later, when I became much stricter in observance, I thought about going to sem and started learning FAST, because I was told I would need to be able to read and write. Then my rav told me the sems were either for baalot teshuva or very charedi and I should just go on to a MA instead, and that's when I met David anyway. He tried to teach me... but I was more concentrated on watching him than the text... yeah well. It's time, before Mati goes to pre-kindergarten in September.

Simchat Torah was nice. No drinking in sight, but much dancing and stuff.
