Time to replace my old faithful cell phone.
Service carrier will cut me a good deal for renewing my contract.
Can anyone recommend a new phone for me?
Got a phone you love?
Got a phone you hate?
Tell me about it.
Hey 111011101110! Help!!!

YES! Thanks, I own you a drink next time I'm in town. I knew that there had to be an impartial site somewhere with reviews and feature comparasons. I like the motorola, I've had good luck with them in the past and will most likely end up with the e815.

I am definitely not the best person to ask. The only reason I replace a cell phone is because it gets blown up lost stolen.

I don't even bother to look at the new models, nor do I bother with the features. All I want it to do is ring when someone calls me, and shut the hell up the rest of the time.

...if you don't like whatever one you get, do you want it blown up?

You really need to quit blowing your phones up ;)

Looking at the these phones half of the features are things I would never use even if I could figure out how to operate them. I need a phone to just be a phone, other than better reception so I can call out of some of the basement labs I hang out in, and maybe a calender to remind me at that: Yes, that biology exam IS this Tuesday, not next week. I really don't need most of these extras.

I got a Virgin Mobile Audiovox from a friend for the hurricane. I like it because it's not too small that I'd lose it, the battery holds a charge well, the sound quality is excellent, it's on a prepaid plan which can be renewed. Right now, it's out of minutes and the battery is dead. That's only because I'm back home where I can be reached on my land line again. If another hurricane ever heads this way, I'll refill the minutes and get out of Dodge again.

A good idea. I don't actually have a land line and use the cell as my only phone. I like just having one number to deal with and having a phone that works wherever I travel as well. Glad to hear you came through the hurricane safe. NOLA is one of my favorite towns, seeing her pictures of her on the news after the storms was heartbreaking.

I know nothing about cel phones, and I haven't called you since you visited, so I can't recommend anything or even click on the last option. But I'm bored so I'm answering anyway ;^)

Me personally, all I want is something small and with programmable ringtones so I can have old Nintendo game themes as my ring...
