[Souji has found himself a place to sit outside today, watch obviously laying a bit away from him as he sits there, folding an origami crane from a page in a magazine that was in his bag when he arrived in the city. I'm taking it no one is sure just what year it is either?

[Because that's really what he's curious about here. Did he move years into the future, or years into the past or just no change at all besides the season.]

If it helps.
It was 2013 when I was last home.

[Oh hey, a text message. He puts the crane he's working on down to read it and then nods.]

.... Not too far in the future then.

2012 for me.

[Yep. From your resident-distrusting-successor!.]

So then that means we're-- wait. Does that make me a time traveller? Haha!

Depends entirely on what year it is here, I think.

[Another crane completed now.]

Time here appears to be irrelevant.

[He looks up a bit, though his hands don't stop moving, still folding that crane, and then his eyes go from the watch and back to the crane. Still paying attention, just multitasking.]

Seems like it. [It's troubling.]

I'm still not entirely sure how this place works to be honest.

[That makes him take his eyes off of the crane he's making at least and both eyebrows go up a bit.]

It'd certainly be nice if it was. [At least then no one would have to worry back home...]

Sometimes I wonder the same, but then... my home only has two seasons to begin with.

[That makes him look up and tilt his head a bit.]

Really?

[He nods.] Monsoon season, and the dry season. This is technically my second winter.

That must be rough.

[He cannot imagine experiencing winter just like that if you're not used to it. Or only having two seasons, but it's hardly all that shocking at this point.]

You know, no one really knows.

[Gilbert shrugged.]

Did you get used to this place a bit?

..... I'm noticing that. [But he's going to search for an answer anyway. Somehow.]

... A little.

[The best you can do.]

Well, that's something at least! There's worse after all.

I guess so.

[He shrugs a bit. He'd prefer not getting used to it to be honest.] It isn't like we're given much of a choice anyway.
