[It's that single image on the communicator that has Gilbert just shy of panicking. That haunted house is really beginning to piss him off. It's another sadistic game. And what he just saw, well. He takes off all at once, his heart in his throat.

He grabs up his gun on his way out the door -- to shoot ghosts? He's not even sure. And then he's running. Fast as he possibly can.

So he's more than a little out of breath as he bursts through the door, but adrenaline is pulsing through him. He just hopes Naoki is still here.] Naoki..!

[Recognition for the ghost's voices has faded. All that remains is that instinct of danger and fight. Naoki is still here. It shouldn't be hard to find him, if one follows the remains of shattered glass and china to the kitchen.

Hearing his name, Naoki twitches a bit and swings a red gaze to the door. Watching. Cautious. Teeth bare silently, an animal warning, and he's all too ready for attack. Clarity has fled for the time being, leaving only his base instincts of the demon side of him.]

[And Gilbert can follow that trail, walking warily through the darkened house. There are no voices calling his name, not at the moment, but he can hear whispering never the less.

He stops all at once, just inside the door of the kitchen. His eyes widen more than a little bit at what he sees. That's Naoki, but not the normally gentle man Gilbert's come to know. He frowns.] Naoki... what happened?

[Naoki gathers himself to his feet, slowly. His hands are tense at his sides, fingers taut and curled, every muscle of him tense and waiting. Threat or no? Will he attack, or not?

There's no recognition in the red eyes that are watching Gilbert.]

Well shit. I know them orbs.

[Gamzee tilts his head at the feed, usual merry attitude gone.]

Didn't all tell me you got that rage, brother. Didn't show a motherfucker that inner glow. Just the one all on your skin bein'.

[There isn't a response for a couple of minutes. Then a soft crunching and the feed fuzzes to life. Shattered glasses and objects are on the floor all around him.

Naoki stares down into it, eyes narrowed, silent as he seems to deliberate if who's on the other end is a threat. That's all this half of him can seem to do: enemy or not?]

[Gamzee doesn't seem to care what the other thinks of him.]

Gonna ride on it, motherfucker? Can you get your grip on without there all bein' handlebars?

[Naoki growls quietly at Gamzee. He hears the words, not understanding them. But he does speak after a moment, voice little more than the sound he'd made--]

...what do you want?

[This is Break being concerned for your well-being. Because we all know that if something happened, Gilbert wouldn't stop sulking for months. I mean, what?]

Naoki? Is everything alright?

[Nope, no response yet--it's in the midst of the sound of shattering glass that the communicator comes back on. Naoki's growling, but his eyes stare down into the communicator, suspicious and still red.

D-do forgive the long pause, Break.]

[Break is a bit surprised, but it doesn't show on his face.]

Naoki? Should I pay you a visit?

[And by that, he means, 'Should I come and knock you unconscious before anyone Gilbert find you this way?']

[The question earns a wary, animalistic sound. Naoki's still gauging whether this face and voice is a threat or not.]

Do not come. [Little more than a growl. Certainly not the voice one is used to hearing from Naoki.]
