[Italy is wandering through Ruby City again, though his wandering is not quite as aimless as usual today. For that, I couldn't say. I only got cans of paint to do my walls from one of the bigger stores.

Francis has been painting plenty though, I'm sure he knows.

[Italy brightens as he gets a quick reply - and from such a pretty girl, too! However, he quickly slumps again when he realizes she can't help him, either.]

Ve~ cans of paint for the walls wouldn't help me much... [He tilts his head to the side, humming thoughtfully.] But it might be a start...

I will ask big brother when I see him the next time! [He laughs.] Or I will just have to make my own paints. It's a lot of work, but it's fun!

Yes, France is my big brother! I'm a nation, too! I'm Italy. Did he ever mention me? I'm his neighbour and we're friends. [He goes quiet for a moment.] Ve~ I think we're friends. He's my friend anyway, though he was mean to me in the past. He seemed happy to see me, too. That means he's my friend, doesn't it?

[He falls silent for a moment as he mulls over that question, then shakes his head.] Anyway... paints! Of course I'll teach you! Making your own paints is a lot of work and you have to be very patient. I'm not patient, usually, but back in the old days, you couldn't just buy paints, so I'm used to it. [He shrugs.] The home-made paints are prettier than the ones you buy anyway. We'll need many things, though... [He trails off with a hum, already compiling a list of ingredients.]

Ve~? [He giggles.] Silly Germany, I'm looking for paints! I want to paint. When I was younger, I painted a lot. There is no war and no work in this place, it would be fun to paint, wouldn't it?

[He hums happily.] Alice is my friend! She asked if anyone would like to have tea and sandwiches with her and I said I would, but we didn't have tea and sandwiches yet. I promised I would teach her to paint. Would you like to paint, too?

Then I'll have to teach you! It's not hard, there is no right or wrong way, you just have to paint what you see when you close your eyes and think of happy things.
