[Gilbert is, quite surprisingly, not woken up by that commotion. Maybe he's just too exhausted at this point. It has been a bad week for sleeping -- in no small part because their bed felt way too big and empty with just him in it.

That would be why he's curled up in a chair by the window, a light blanket drawn around him. He'd half expected to watch the sunrise, but sleep had snuck up on him. It's the door opening that has him stirring just slightly, golden eyes blinking open slowly, blearily.]

[Naoki stops in the doorway as soon as he sees Gilbert looking at him, fidgeting just slightly. But then he takes him in, how tired he looks, how he's sleeping in a chair by the window...

And he closes the distance between them without saying a word, leaning down to scoop Gilbert up in his arms. (Like he's a new bride.)]

[Gilbert is still in the midst of waking up. He blinks in surprise as he finds himself being lifted. His arms move out of reflex to circle about Naoki's neck. He fixes a confused glance on Naoki, but slowly, he's gathering his wits back to him enough to realize that this feels like it should be. The familiar glow of Naoki's markings, the warmth of being in his arms. And his heart starts beating faster.] Naoki?

[Naoki offers him a smile and carries him over to the bed. He shifts to push the blankets back best he can with a knee, setting Gilbert on the bed. His hand moves to brush through his hair.] Yeah.

Not feeling things can be very unpleasant, once you are able to feel again anyhow. But-- you were able to fly?

It's true. Of what I can remember, I could feel, just...not very much.

[He sighs, rubs his chest above his heart unconsciously. He perks up at the question though, smiling.]

I was. It was amazing, I remember that much.
