[Jan’s dressed in her Starfleet uniform, looking polished and professional. Her hair is carefully swept up in a chignon. Her eyes are a little too bright and her tone heavier than usual.]
I'm rather useless with first aid and major trauma, that's for doctors, not ergaleomancers. Ergaleomancy is used more in chronic conditions--if those who are seriously ill come to us, I can outfit the clinic to tend to them. I can make prosthetics, including joint replacement and hands with moving and controllable fingers.
Back home I was working on a device that would purify the blood to drive out blood-borne illnesses, though I haven't finished it if it becomes necessary here I can start working on it again--I know the plans by heart and can draw them back how I had them back home.
[She lets out a tired sigh, which earlier in the day would have sounded a little more like a sob.] Better than I was. I know she's home, but...
I wish I could have fixed things before she left, but it seems that people forget what happened here when they return. So maybe things will be alright when she's back home.
You're right. Christine and the Janice from her reality are probably still best friends and have no idea anything odd happened between them - us. I hate dealing with alternate timelines/realities. I can never find the right descriptions.
I'm getting a good response, but I'm afraid it's not going to be enough if something catastrophic happens. We haven't had a doctor respond yet, which is what I've been hoping for.
What about you, Conan? Are you going to be alright?
[For about ten minutes after Jan makes the announcement that Christine is gone, Zelda is running throughout the apartment above the clinic. Before sitting down and crying. Who cares about dignity right now, anyway?
Once she's silenced her sobs, she grabs her watch and replies.]
I can't believe... she's gone. I was learning from Christine, so I can stay and help out whenever anyone needs. Since I also have the Triforce of Wisdom back, I can focus the purpose of Nayru's Love to heal.

Do you need more?

What sort of a response have you been getting on the volunteer front?

I - I couldn't either, but I checked, Zelda. I had to make sure that this wasn't some trick the city was pulling on us all.
Thank you for offering to help. I'm trying to gauge everyone's abilities, but when it comes to healing, I'm a little lost.
