A communicator? Like a telephone?

[He nudges the watch with the tip of his foot. When it doesn't do anything scary, he gingerly picks it up again to discover that the face of the pocket watch has been replaced by a screen. He looks nervous, but then quickly intrigued as he realizes he is talking to a girl. He flashes a charming smile.] Ve! I'm so lucky to be talking to a pretty signorina!

It's white. With a handle [he explains helpfully. White flags are more important than how long he has been here.]

It's my watch? Who gave it to me? And why did they leave it on the platform when it's for me? I nearly didn't take it, you're not supposed to take things that aren't yours, but it's so pretty and there wasn't anyone else...

Italy shivers with fright. He doesn't like talk of captors and being trapped. His voice is suddenly very small again.
