In the Park [Joining late, just saw this.] derpblademaster September 15 2011, 19:54:07 UTC
Sora was adapting very well to the city. He had been filling his days with tasks and in general being a helpful citizen. Today though he had quelled the helping desire and decided to practice his sparring in the park. Keyblade in hand he swung upon some trees bearing no mind to the destruction he might have caused the plants. After all they were trees, Sora cared not.

In addition to sparing he casually would cast a spell here and there. It wasn't uncommon for him to throw a dodge roll in as well. He didn't want to get rusty in case danger reared it's ugly head. Or Heartless, even Organization XIII could make themselves known. If they did, he would be ready! Hence his preparation.

Marluxia dodged a stray keyblade swing, feeling a distinct flashback to the last time he had a keyblade swung here.
Well...
This might not end well. This might end terribly for him.
But he was already there.
"Working hard, I see."
That wasn't the only thing he saw. Sora looked older then he had last seen the boy. He couldn't have had a growth spurt so soon, could he?

Sora was one to be quickly notice others and respond in appropriate time. This is what he did, though he paused for a moment, not really recognizing him by the face, but that coat. Quickly the teenager jumps to a defensive state. Keyblade tucked closely near him, but ready to strike.

"Hey your from the Organization!?" He exclaimed making assumptions based on his clothes. Why shouldn't he, it is the same coat.

...Did Sora really just ask him that?

Come on, considering the reaction he gets whenever people look at his rather ridiculous hair color, you'd think he'd be at least memorable in that regard, if not in his actual villainous deeds.

Oh well, he was good at thinking on his feet.

He held up his hands defensively.

"I was from the Organization. Please, I am not here to fight you."

Scouting/Wandering the City -- Even later, sorry. reclaimedearth September 18 2011, 00:49:01 UTC
Given how he was supposed to be trapped here, Terra thought it'd be good to at least make a mental map of the city. For all he knew, this was his new home. He had to be able to know where he was going.

He's a hard figure to miss, really. Wandering around, the hood that would obscure his face lowered, and his eyes pretty much wandering around, noting the important landmarks.

Marluxia was sitting on a park bench, taking notes on the people he had spoken with, their perceived strengths and weaknesses, when he noticed that black coat moving around in the corner of his vision, in the distance of the other side of the public park he had chosen as the place where he would lurk around that day. He had suspected Vexen first, since he wasn't looking up, and as he looked up, his lips turned upwards sardonically, amused that the Academic finally left his apartment instead of hiding out like a hermit.

The smile froze on his face when he saw that the owner of the coat was not his scrawny scientist. This was someone much deadlier. drawing himself up quickly, he hustled over, moving fluidly like the shadow of a flying bird, until he was on the same street as Terra, some few feet away.

"You seem rather focused today."

He smiled back at Terra, still keeping the distance he might need if he needed to draw his weapon. He did look disturbingly like the Superior, after all. Who knew what he was really like.

He almost... felt? Definitely sensed that odd feeling of hollowness before the source appeared in his field of vision.

Seeing that odd shade of pink hair, Terra had to force himself to relax. Whatever that odd sensation he felt was... he couldn't let it get to him. The smile gets returned easily, and the soft laughter that accompanies it surprises him slightly. "Somewhat. I'm trying to get a feel for this place."

"It's... Marluxia, right?" He remembered the reaction that Riku had to the name; like it was one to be wary of.

'I should probably be careful.'

"Yes."
He smiled lazily.
"Were you looking for something? You seem... lost, somehow."
He raised his arms disarmingly, waiting to see if Terra opened up to him.

Wandering the streets, totes tagging this late. :D vain_sky September 18 2011, 04:40:02 UTC
It's a quiet night, and on nights like these... Well, what Dark being wouldn't be enjoying himself or at the very least wandering the streets out of boredom as he moved whatever belongings he had while the ones who watched his every movement were overcome by sleep? That, and it was just plain dull conforming to what the morons who thought could control him wished. He's a wild card; always has been. It's what makes everything interesting, after all. Silently watching, plotting, mapping out the area and looking for any and all weak points...

Why if one didn't know any better, one would think he was a villain~! Yet how can that be when he looks so much like the hero?

Don't think he doesn't sense you nearby, though. It's hard not to recognize the presence of emptiness that pervades the core much like the void does him.

Vanitas isn't the only one who can sense shifts in the Darkness.

Vanitas.

Marluxia turned towards the source of the emanation, a small smirk on his lips. This could be interesting, indeed. The boy was powerful, a d wildly ubpredictable. Perhaps it would be worth trying to recruit him, or at least point him in the right direction...

"Always wandering, it seems. What drives you into the night?"

Did someone memorize his signature while they spoke? Apparently so, just like the nothingness was in their previous encounter.

Marluxia.

A faint tilt of his head was all the acknowledgement that the Nobody would get for a brief moment. Fleeting figures, a red glow, yellow eyes hidden in the shadows just as easily as the sneer of disgust he's come to take on for any creature--any weak being whose twisted arrogance he could just taste in the air. Pathetic, and the sneer only grows briefly before he turns completely.

Any outward hint was gone before it can be seen by the light and twilight between.

"I could ask the same about you."

Marluxia folded his arms over his chest, watching Vanitas carefully, though his posture was still easy, relaxed.
"I am simply out on a nighttime stroll, considering the multitude of possibilities this town could possibly offer me. After all, our captors made this world to be used, did they not?"

Though he didn't seem to be, Marluxia was gauging the boy's reaction very carefully. He was a hard one to read, harder than he might have seemed, and Marluxia need to concentrate hard in order to be assured he could tell that the boy was thinking.

As it were, Vexen had ventured out of his new lab to gather a number of things, among them supplies for his laboratory and particular food items. However, these things were not on his person. They were in a few paper bags, huddled together along the bank of that remarkable red river.

And Vexen had pulled out a few simple mason jars from one of the bags to begin filling with the liquid--he knew Marluxia would be somewhere around, but the Assassin was out of sight and out of mind, as he was standing with one of the lidded jars held up over his head. He was staring intently at it as the sunlight shone through the thick red liquid, trying to ascertain its viscosity with a quick shake before letting his gaze travel along either stretch of the banks.

"Strange how there are no other sources of water with this affliction, yet this clearly leads to and from somewhere." Suspicious tone was suspicious as he turned to gather his things again, satisfied for now.

Vexen often talked to himself when he was working, and whether he expected a response or not, he never seemed to want one from the Assassin.

But that never stopped him from giving answers anyway, since Vexen asked, after all.

Marluxia stood farther back from the river. It had been a surprise to see the Scientist there. He imagined Vexen rarely traveling from his lab, if at all, now that he was holed up with Rufus Shinra or whomever it was who seemed to own that big hotel. He had come to the river to try to answer some of his own questions about the town, to see if he could find anything hidden within the walls, near the banks, or just to the edges of their pen.

"It leads outside, obviously."

Marluxia looked back at him smugly.

"And the red tint is likely just the very finest silt. I imagine that it must be purified before we drink it."

He wrinkled his nose slightly.

"One would hope."

Vexen really wasn't one to travel outside of his lab, and now that he had an adequate workspace, he really didn't have much of a reason to leave. Except for the fact that he hadn't the likes of Saix to rely upon, here.

No incoming mission reports to read and add to his files, no members to simply have Saix send out periodically to maintain his supplies and provide subjects for study and harvest. He had to get a majority of his things himself, because he didn't trust the Turks to do anything for him ( ... )

Marluxia smiled at bit at Vexen's response.
"I should never be surprised at what you will put up with for scientific pursuit."
He walked down the bank to join Vexen, looking at the water with somewhat less interest than the Scientist. Escape was more important now. If he really needed to, there would likely be nothing stopping Vexen from portaling back here.
"Are you satisfied with this world?"
He didn't ask out of malice, but curiosity. He wouldn't want to stay, would he? He didn't want to admit it to himself, but if he didn't go, the Assassin would return to fetch him.

Latest ever because I'm a derp - Rooftops - Midday asapphireheart September 19 2011, 04:32:42 UTC
Aqua was on the roof of her apartment, Master Keeper in hand, training her magic. Always her magic. It was her strongest skill, saved her when she couldn't handle a stronger opponent with the ease that Terra or Eraqus would have. Her healing magic was strong, friends could attest to that. Elements struck fast and hard. Barriers let nothing through.

Aqua was proud of her skills. That's why she spent so much time training them. On the roof, she couldn't practice some of the more advanced spells she'd taught herself; such as manipulating the earth as Xehanort had. But she could practice freezing objects. Like the dummy she has frozen solid right now.

She knew she was being watched, always did because she was tuned in to the Light and Darkness in the city. It didn't bother her though, she had her Keyblade and if anyone approached her and did anything stupid, she could fight.

[Hey, it was the weekend!]

Marluxia had been on the rooftops, investigating the weaker points of entry to some of the strange little spots in the city, looking for good points to create an ambush, and generally plotting out the course the rebellion would take.
Seeing a familiar shape on the roof, he leaped across narrow alleys, from building to building, his coat billowing out behind him, until he reached the building next to Aqua's.
"Hello again, Master Aqua!"
Now that he had her attention, he leaped the last span over to her building, landing as easily as if he had flown.
"Are you training up here?"

[And a fun weekend it was!]

"Marluxia." Aqua turned towards the familiar voice and smiled. A lot of people didn't venture to the rooftops and a lot of people didn't often see her train. Though, sometimes she was in the forest so nobody could.

"I am, it's mostly out of the way. So I don't have to worry about anyone getting too close and getting hurt. What brings you up?"

"I am doing some training of my own, in a fashion."
He glanced over and across the streets, scanning every detail of the buildings and storefronts.
"I intend to escape this place. Some of the others and I are planning on striking targets all over town in a days' time."
