Simon would be in his office, returned to the task of looking through the medical files. He had a vague idea of seeing if there was any sort of physiological change done to those with the so called 'magical' skill, similar to that which had been done to River, but he hadn't been getting very far. The diagnostic tools they had here were just too primitive, there wasn't even an EKG or an MRI to begin with.

There was, however, a large merc leaning in his doorway, glowering at him in annoyance, food hanging limply in one hand now.

"Do you ever sleep? Cuz so far as I reckon, you ain't come home once since we got settled."

Not really expecting to hear Jayne there, Simon startled, half turning to stare for a second at Jayne, before huffing and finishing the turn, standing to look at Jayne.

"I've been at the apartment most nights, actually." He didn't think of that place as home, he couldn't, it was to... final. It meant that they wouldn't be leaving, and he couldn't think that yet, even though he'd been here for almost a month.

"Not when it counts," Jayne grunted. He'd been the one to calm River's last breakdown, and collect her from the roof, and made sure she ate...

He shook his head and thrust out the arm holding Simon's food. "Brought breakfast."
