If 'Shiki' happened to walk in further, he may notice another faint scent; some flowery rosen fragrance coming from a blonde-headed man in a coat and gloves he found at random in Ruby City. He came here out of sheer curiousity; though why in the middle of the night?

Francis couldn't sleep either, and - being a fairly religious nation - he decided to look around the church...not that he quite expected to find a hint of faith here. The coppery scent repulsed him, but he explored the dark church nonetheless, not yet noticing the other enter.

He stopped quite suddenly- the presence of another realized not too long after he'd made some way into the structure, but something inside him berated himself for taking so long to notice. He frowned, dark eyes narrowing as he tried to make out the other forms from the shadows.

Odd finding someone else about at this time. Waiting to see if he'd been noticed, 'Shiki' began to walk again, more guarded. The floral scent from the other became more pronounced the closer he'd approached.

...children laughing, a large field in front of an old, abandoned house....

He stopped again, bringing a hand to his head as he grimaced. Closing his eyes, he waited a moment before looking back towards the blond-haired man. "Unusual time to be about," he spoke up, even though he was quite aware the question could be turned back towards him.

France started a bit, and turned to see who the new person was. He was partially obscured by shadow, though even then he didn't recognize the other man's voice.

"Ah...oui. I was only looking around...and yourself?"

Being clothed all in black and with hair to match made 'Shiki' blend all the better with the darkness. Part of him felt better to remain somewhat hidden from the other to keep him more on edge. For a moment he allowed himself that much, arching a brow at the other man's accent.

"The same, I guess," he replied, letting his eyes sweep the rest of the dark room before flicking back over towards France. Finally he stepped forward again, into more direct view of the other. "I thought a walk could help for a restless night."

Zion walked around the cathedral. He was wondering about what to do. He had a new identity here, he wasn't some cold ruthless weapon. He was human, at least to those he met. But he knew nothing good lasts forever. Along with that, he liked who he was. He liked being cold and cruel. Why should he care about others? He was better then any human would ever be. But he had a plan and needed to stick to it. Only one person so far knew about his true nature and he needed to deal with it.

"What ever shall I do?" he murmured softly. He was at loss, how to he keep his cover? He didn't want Xanxus to find out? He did not even hear 'Shiki' walking in his direction.

It was the voice that pulled him from his thoughts, and he jerked his head up, glancing towards its origin even though he already placed the name of the speaker. So what was the boy doing out at such a time?

He blinked, then started forth again, more cautiously than he had been, but an easy shift, he found. What was he trying to do? He found himself asking that question; one way or another he'd possibly end up startling the kid, both unintentionally.

Zion does not notice the other person. As far as he was concerned he was alone. He has the faint feeling someone was there but perhaps he felt so alone his mind was playing tricks on him.

He sighed and continues to admire the cathedral. After all how was he supposed to know someone was about to scare the crap out of him?

Careless, 'Shiki' thought. It somewhat surprised him, having him pause again. Shaking his head, he sighed, intentionally being loud so that he'd be noticed.

"A little late, isn't it?" he noted flatly, keeping an eye on the pale-haired boy.
