Ciel took the time that Sebastian spent preparing their tea to get a good look at the manner the butler had occupied for them. It was much better than the young Earl had ever expected of Ruby City considering the way some lived here. When he had first arrived things were so chaotic he had been unable to look around for a proper home, let along take one for himself. Even when Sebastian had arrived the first time there had been too much going on to search for other living conditions. Not to mention in all honest he had enjoyed living with Clair...After deciding he was pleased enough with the place Sebastian had chosen for them, Ciel returned to their new dinning hall and took up his proper place at the head of the table. The youth looked at the tea set before him, lifting it gently to his nose and smelling it. "I see you were unable to acquire the quality tea I am accustomed too? I suppose this will have to do." He commented blankly before giving Sebastian's words any thought ( ... )

Sebastian, of course, murmured his apologies on the quality of the tea. Unless he was able to leave this damned city, it was not likely he'd find anything better, though. And if he were capable of that, well... What would be the point of staying there.

He was going to make a quip about the two of them actually indulging Grell, but Ciel's last statement took him slightly off-guard. "Madame Red was here? This place is capable of resurrecting the dead?"

Ciel had suspected Sebastian's surprise and smiled his crooked smirk. after all, if the man truly did not remember his time in Ruby before, the concept of raising the dead would indeed be a shock. Even to a demon.

"Yes, it would seem this place is capable of taking people from not only different worlds but different times and different variations of the same place. I believe it took her right before she died." Ciel took another sip from his tea, his face not showing any indication of what he had felt upon seeing his dead aunt risen again.

"So, tell me, Sebastian, what is it that you last remember from our own world?"

"Hm... This place seems to become more and more intriguing with every new bit of information." He paused to consider his answer to his master's question. "We had just finished explaining the "mystery" to the wordsmith and sent him on his way."
