Having depleted the store of potion Severus had given her, Lily had the perfect excuse to go see him again. It was a rule that one did not apparate while pregnant, so she walked, enjoying the brisk air the city had to offer.

She knocked on the door carefully, not quite so enthusiastic as usual. Everything felt different now that she was nearly certain that she was pregnant. She was nervous to see him.

Considering that by this point Lily was the only one who could get this close to Severus's flat he knew she was in the building even before she knocked.

"Come in," he called out, pushing the stone basin away and standing.

Lily opened the door as quietly as possible and shut it the same way behind her.

"Hello," she said, voice a little hoarse. She cleared her throat as she removed her scarf and cloak.

"How've you been, love?"

He shrugged. Her use of the word 'love' in reference to him seemed odd considering the circumstances but Severus decided not to draw attention to it. "I've been worse. How are you?"

Without Lily even asking Severus began to set the teapot to work. "Has the potion been helping you?" He nodded to the empty flask in her hand.
