The entrance to the house is small, but tidy. There's a couple of coat racks for guests to hang their coats on, and on the opposite side from them, candles are lined up at a responsible distance from the wall, casting a nice amount of light through the room and giving it a cozier sort of look. The power might be back by now, but candlelight still beats electric ones when it comes to setting the mood.
Like a good host, Souji was lingering by the entrance of his home in Ruby City, waiting to welcome the guests who decided to show. He would probably be in and out of the kitchen for most of the evening, and take his time in making rounds to chat a bit with people, but for now all he could do was wait and see if people would come pouring in. Or if a lot of food was going to go to waste.
She decided to show up after all, after seeing his little message on the communicator. She could use some kind of break, right? Sewing and shooting thing all the time really can tire you out. She was mostly covered up in a long coat, mostly pink and red for the most part. She gave him a small smile, walking up to him happily.
Austria had heard through the grapevine of this Christmas Party, and as tradition was something he felt strongly about, he knew that he should at least make the attempt at observing one of the most important holidays on his religious calender.
Stepping in from the chilly outdoors, he slipped out of his coat and draped it elegantly over one arm. He straightened his suit and cravat and nodded graciously at his guest.
"Froliche Weinhnachten," Austria murmured with a placid smile, then paused as he recognized the other guest in the foyer. "...Lili?"
The living room is tidy, like the entrance. Candles are put up here and there, and the fireplace offers both light and warmth. There's a couch and chairs around a table for people to sit and blankets and pillows and such too... It's pretty cozy. For those who are aware enough to look up, there's probably mistletoe hanging from the ceiling too. By the wall are two long tables where there's food all nice and lined up. Sandwiches and othersmalldishes and such on various plates and cake, cookies and candy too. There's also open space for those who've brought food with them to share. Plates and cups are all nice and stacked up in a corner so people can just help themselves and then go socialize.
It's a nice place, Naoki thinks as he carries a plate of what he's brought into the room. Cookies--but hey, one can never have enough cookies! He turns to cast his gaze about the room, silently admiring the set-up before he goes looking for a cup to see about getting himself something to drink before he gets to chatting.
Roxas is a little stunned by all this. He remembers snatches from Sora's Christmases, but the only Christmas he had existed for had passed unmarked during his time with the Organization. Everything here seems so warm and inviting, completely unlike anything in Never Was, and he spends a few moments taking it in--though certain things, like the mistletoe, are still foreign to him. Unsure of what one is supposed to do at a party, he eventually wanders to the food. At least the plates make it obvious it's meant for eating.
Beer and food was all he needed to enjoy himself at a party. And he had both of it. The whole atmosphere was great so far, but it was too bad that he wasn't able to drag West along. Stupid, little brother, why didn't he want to celebrate a little with the awesomeness that's him? Oh well maybe he'd show up after all to go get him once he was totally drunk.
The kitchen is in a slight state of disarray, though there's a table and chairs here too if people want to have a quieter space to sit and talk. Of course, with food being prepared in there, it might not be all that quiet.
There's a nice big box covered in black fabric in the corner of the living room now. Gifts can be pulled from here, but keep in mind that it's only one per person and you're being watched.
Things that can be pulled from it are random decorations, origami cranes and flowers, and other small trinkets. Good luck!
It's time to go home as it's getting late. Be careful out there and remember to say goodbye to your host! Or bug him to keep his offer of escorting people home for that matter.
