[Shivering, Ryunosuke stared where the "locomotive" had left, moving his hands slightly up and down his upper arms to try and calm himself. A suspicious look creeps onto his face while he wonders in which kind of mess he got himself again. He starts to take a few steps, muttering words under his breath.]Just what the...! Why do such things keep ( Read more... )

[A very upset young brown-haired man just so happens to search the train station at the time, calling for his brother. Except for being dirty, a week in the catacombs has left him none the worse for wear, but his nerves are shot after a week of having nothing to do but fret.]

Lovino! Lovino! Are you here, Lovi?

[Ryunosuke turned around once he had heard a voice. There were people here, after all. He walks into the direction he heard that voice coming from and it wasn't too long after he spotted a young man.]

Hey, is that yours?

[He showed him the watch.]

[Well... Hello, stranger who is not Lovino. Feliciano tilts his head to the side and seizes Ryunosuke up curiously. Worried he may be, but Feliciano can never not be excited to make a new friend. So he musters a bright smile and laughs.]

Ve~ you are new to Ruby City, aren't you?

Ruby... ? Is that the name of this place?

[There's a slight frown on his face. Who did he end up from Kyoto to anywhere bizarre like here? How did he end up on that locomotive anyways?]

[Feliciano's eyes go wide with excitement.]

Ve~! A new arrival! I've never been the first one to talk to a new arrival!

[He interlaces his hands behind his back and bounces up and down on his feet. He squints, pursing his lips, as he thinks hard to recall what he had been told when he first arrived.]

You're in Ruby City! That's the name of this place! [His voice is a happy, eager chirp and he spreads out his arms in an all-compassing gesture.] You've been kidnapped by mysterious people who nab people from different times and places and even planets and keep them all imprisoned here. But don't worry, Ruby City is a nice place!

Wait, wait! What?! [Now that was seriously not the greeting he was expecting. Actually he hadn't expected anything aside an answer to his question that didn't even happen yet.]

You are also kidnapped? But what do they want from us? I don't have anything!

[Um. Did he shout in panic? He can't quite remember, but he's almost certain he had been far easier to handle. Time for a soothing smile.]

They don't want our money or our possessions. Well, I lost my white flag and that nice English lady said she was missing some coins when she arrived, but I think that's just because they're pretty bad at kidnapping, not because they're stealing from us on purpose! No one knows what they want from us. If you ask me, they're bored.

[Bored and cruel, but he really doesn't want the newcomer to go hysterical on him. He's seen soldiers lose it when the stress became too much to take, it's not a pretty sight and Germany isn't around to hide behind.]

[Considering he had been robbed off before there was nothing they could have stolen from him. He also hadn't been out to buy sake for Serizawa, no the last memory he had... was far less pleasant.]

They kidnap people because they're bored? That doesn't make sense. If people kidnap somebody they usually try to blackmail somebody.

[Well, he had tried.]

Ve~ they do all kinds of weird things, too. Sometimes they're nice things, like when they organized a festival for us. Or a ball. But sometimes bad things happen. Like when people were caught in the maze with monsters trying to eat them!

[And here Ryunosuke had thought he had just calmed down when the guy was coming with the next bad news.]

Monsters trying to eat people? You can't be serious!

Just once [Feli replied mildly. He couldn't suppress a shudder, though. It had been terrible, these snapping jaws, the pain of tearing flesh...]

Well, there was the haunted house with the ghosts trying to kill people, but I'm not sure if the captors did that or if the city itself is out to get us. I think not even people who have survived death can't control ghosts!

Y-you really can't be serious. Ghosts? Ghosts don't exist!

[Or that's what he believed anyways. Or wanted to believe.]

Ve~ maybe they weren’t ghosts. [Even though he admits that pensively, Feliciano continues to look troubled.]

I know they masqueraded as ghosts of our loved ones, but they weren’t them. And they were mean. They tried to kill Lili and me!

Ghosts of your loved ones?

[Ryunosuke frowns a bit. Well, than he wouldn't have had feared too much.]

They tried to kill you? Somehow this city seems to try and kill you a lot.

[He nods solemnly.]

I... I guess it does. Ve~ I try not to think about it too much, it's scary. But it's not all bad! I've met many nice people in this city and you get as much pasta as you want!

I guess I can't blame you for that. Nice people? Well, that is at least something. [It's better than having a bunch of people beating you up and call it training.. or whatever else reason there might be.]

P-pasta?
