[Italy is just doing what he usually does in Ruby City, sitting around in Austria's house and cooking pasta - peace is nice, but running for your life sure keeps you busy! - when German shouting suddenly comes out of his watch. He gives a little startled, "ve!" and fumbles around for the pocket watch in the pocket his uniform jacket.

The first thing he notices is the uniform. It's force of habit, to pay attention to the uniform first of all with uniform wearers to tell friend and foe apart. His heart skips a beat in excitement and he laughs. It is someone from his era! It is only then, as he already absent-mindedly clicks the little button to activate the watch, that he realizes that the man doesn't look like German soldiers from his world.]

Ve~ do you know that your face is red? [He asks this in a tone of voice as if he expects that he is telling the man something new. His German is fluent, though his Italian accent is very strong ( ... )

[Johann is pacing around, thinking about what he has been told so far, by video contact and the silver-haired man. He is certain he cannot act here as he is accustomed to, though he is more than capable of patience and civility. He wonders how long he can parade around before someone dubs him an enemy. Also, how long he can stand the lack of orders and point to existing. But it doesn't seem like there is much he an do for the time-being ( ... )

[When the third sentence coming from the man's mouth is a reproach that he is foolish, Italy pushes his bottom lip forward in a pout and gives a little huff. Hmpf! Of course he would. Germany isn't here, so instead he gets told off by another German soldier. You just can't win sometime, can you ( ... )

[He is highly skeptical about the 'boy's' age, but considers the fact that his true age is technically far greater than his physical and holds this possibility as potentially true for others. He does, however, find great admiration in what this strange youth says.]

Yes...you possess a noble spirit. Your country should be proud to host you. [Try telling him you ARE your country and, despite genius intellect, he is not even going to understand.]

Tell me, then, how old are you? I may have to address you differently if you really are older than me.

[Italy's jaw drops. He is certainly not used to being told that he has a noble spirit. A free spirit, the gifts of an artist, a kind heart, all these things he has been told at times, but a noble spirit? That is something he associates with nations like... like Japan or like Germany or even scary England, nations who are fearsome and earnest and very stuffy ( ... )
