Turkey smoking outside in smoker? I am amazed! Does the smoker get used regularly? For what else?
Awesome. Way more awesome than borchst mold (which also kind of amazes me.

yes, amazing! apparently the smoker has been used only sporadically, for a brisket and another turkey one time. my father is a fan of gadgets, is what it comes down to. but yeah, i am way more excited about the smoked turkey than the one that'll get roasted tomorrow.

also, i just rendered duck fat. that's a first. i'm going to fry latkes in it, i think.

addendum: the smoker was bought at a yard sale for $15. man, yard sales in suburbia. my dad is a big fan of yard sales.
