As a Ten/Jack shipper, I think RTD really glossed over loads of important moments like these during the last three episodes...so this was frankly just begging to be written!

Hmm...I suppose it depends on how you view Jack. He had a pitiful amount of plot development during Utopia/Drums/Time Lords, so it all depends on how you think his experiences with the Doctor during that year changed him.
