For the hell of it, here's a list of books I want to read and games I want to finish. Because I get bored easily.

Do yourself a favor: read Dune and then STOP and pretend the rest of that series never happened.

XD Why, is the rest of it bad or something? I really only know about Dune, and what I know about that is very little (aka, whatever was on the back of the book).

The rest isn't...bad...per se, it just gets...extremely weird in a way that kinda diminishes the absolute genius of the original book. Okay, that's not entirely true: the books actually written by Frank Herbert aren't bad but mind-bogglingly weird and go off on whacky tangents barely supported by the ideas in the original texts.

The sequels "written" by Brian Herbert and that other guy? Those are the brutal corpse-rape of the entire concept of Dune.
