I love this. Sheldon's naive, but he's not stupid, and he totally has that little streak of chivalry that means he won't flirt with his best friend's girl-friend.

(Even if said best friend is a whiny little troll who nearly tanked his career.)

I don't know about loathing, but Leonard did poach Stephanie, he did set Sheldon up and he does whine. :)
