[& losing weight]

Some quick background:

In middle school I was about 140lbs. Seems like a lot for a middle school kid but I was also playing football. In the house wasn't a lot of food in my mother's efforts to a) "Save money" and b) "Not have me get fat like my father". Amen. I've been up and down on weight my whole life, and the only thing that ever worked for me was Weight Watchers. I'm actually back on it now, because I eat when I'm bored, and I've been bored a whole lot since I went to overnights. Breaking this cycle is a bitch, but I'm slowly losing again (like 2 lbs in the last 3 weeks type of slow), thanks to WW and karate.

The best part about the new WW? Fruit and veggies are free points, no matter how much you eat. So that's helping change the "when I'm feeling munchy, the first thing I reach for is..." decision from something like pretzels or chips to an apple, or some green beans.

My only problem is that I need to find something to do when I'm rotating through weekdays and I can't get to karate. I think I'm gonna go pick up Just Dance for the Wii (since I finally got that back), and start trying to do that on my days off. Small changes, you know. :)
