I really enjoyed this - you've got their voices honed to snarky perfection, and it's got exactly enough sexual tension splashed on to make it read like canon. *g* There's a subtle attraction/repulsion thing going on here - Sam's refusal to think of Gene as a sexual being, thinking he's "strong" rather than "handsome" - that ultimately highlights just how lonely and longing the two of them are, and it's really quite a heartwarming story. Well, as heartwarming as these two get, lol.
