My first reading of FF fanfic and it's Wash/Mal!! Thank you! Thank you! This reads just so genuine and true to the characters! From the little bit describing the town through Mal's POV, to the talk of stars! *sigh* Teach you to fly!! YAY!!

hahaha! I only just discovered the show last year! My friend got me hooked by saying it was like delicious cake...delicious cake made with crack! And when, in like episode two I told her Wash was my fav, she whimpered an "I'm sorry..."

I knew I was DOOMED!

When I first started watching it Wash was my favourite too. But over time it changed to Jayne. Still love Wash to bits though :D

Nice AU. I like how you still have the Serenity "crew" banter with Mal's friends, along with Wash's enthusiasms and Mal's emotional reticence.

I culdn't actually figure out how to do this in canon, so that's where the AU came from. And the other three were added in at last minute to make it a little less angsty.
