One too many

Hiroki looked up from the book he was reading as he heard how the door opened and closed without anyone saying anything. A quick glance at the clock told him the hour was way too early for Ryo to get home and he knew for sure that no family member was coming to visit.
"Who's there?" he thus asked out as he got up to his feet and hesitantly headed for the hallway.

Yawning, Hiroki took off his shoes and jacket as he walked further into the apartment. Then he heard someone speak and he froze on the spot. No one was supposed to be home yet, he was supposed to be the only on there. Ryo was working late today after all... not that that was very weird or rare or anything - detectives usually worked a lot and very late.
Carefully walking further into the apartment, tightening his fist so that he'd be ready to hit who- or whatever it was that was in his apartment, Hiroki soon came to the edge where he stopped and leaned against the wall.
"Who are you?"

Hiroki blinked with big eyes at the voice he heard then, backing up a little from the wall as he kept on staring at the edge. He could see the figure of someone standing there, but due to the light in the hallway being switched off he didn't see more than that. The man didn't sound very old though, maybe in his twenties but that was about it... for some reason the voice sounded very familiar but Hiroki couldn't exactly find a face that matched with the voice.
"This is my apartment...," he answered after a while and then cleared his house. "And you're not Ryochan, so who are you and what are you doing here?"

Now Hiroki couldn't help but frown at what he was told. The voice was similar to his own, but yet not the same, but the guy was seriously talking about Ryo and that this was his apartment... now it made even less sense than it had when he had realized someone was here.
As Hiroki took a final step away from the wall and into the living room the two men saw each other clearly and caused them both to stare widely at each other. The one closest to the window; a guy looking just like Hiroki himself though with a slightly different hair style and other clothes, took a step back as he pointed at Hiroki. Though he didn't manage to say something before Hiroki did.
"Who the fuck are you!?"

With his eyes getting even wider at the rough language the other guy used, Hiroki shook his head and finally stopped moving backwards. This made absolutely no sense, it made no sense that there could be a guy that looked so much like him and sounded like him that just so happened to have taken the wrong apartment or something... it didn't make sense.
"No, no, that's my line, who are you?" he asked as he looked at the guy from top to toe - it even looked as if he was wearing his jeans and his brand new purple shirt...

"I'm Uchi Hiroki," the other one introduced himself as, "and I want to know what you are doing here and why you're looking like me, and exactly -why- you are talking about -my- Ryochan."
It couldn't be that Ryo was having an affair, could it? If that was the case Hiroki would most likely never forgive him and it honestly wouldn't be a nice conversation to have. But on the other hand he could definitely see why, if he was, he would choose a kid like that one. He looked just like Hiroki after all and that had to mean that he only liked one kind of guys - which was a good thing. But it still didn't make it okay.

"Huh?" was the only thing Hiroki managed to say then before shaking his head. "No, no, no, I'm Uchi Hiroki and I was talking about -my- Ryochan and this is -my- apartment! I don't know you but I know I don't like you so please leave?"
This was actually starting to get scary. Maybe this guy was some stalker or something that had decided he wanted to look and act and live like Hiroki? After all, people like that existed and he very much seemed to be like one of those...

Hiroki frowned then, wanting to yell at the other guy apparently using the same name as himself, but for some reason he couldn't say anything at all for a while. It didn't make sense after all and it was rather difficult to make sense out of things that didn't make sense.
That there would be two people being named the same thing, looking the same, talking the same and having the same boyfriend and living at the same place... there was no way that coincidences like that happened so this had to be something more, something... something supernatural. Not that Hiroki really believed in things like that, but...
"So are we the same person?" he thus asked, adding a slight touch of sarcasm to his voice just to make sure that the other Hiroki wouldn't think he seriously believed that. Even though he kind of did... maybe.

Noticing how the other Hiroki had gotten a bit softer, not using such rough language this time, Hiroki blinked at the question and just shrugged at first. He honestly had no idea of what to believe... if this Hiroki was the same one as himself, then that would mean that they were the same person existing in the same time and place... it didn't make sense. Sure, Hiroki had always believed that there was some parallell universe somewhere but to think that it actually, really existed and that he would get to meet himself...
"What does your Ryochan work with?" he asked, figuring he could try to make some sense out of it. If it was that time had messed up and stuff so they got to meet, then that was a once in a lifetime thing... maybe he should just do the best out o fit.

"Huh?" Hiroki let out then, more out of surprise than anything else. He hadn't really expected to get a question like that after all. Honestly he didn't like talking about Ryo to random people, strangers and so on, they had sort of decided to keep their relationship a secret to the rest of the world after all, but considering this guy was... well, it could actually be himself or maybe just a part of himself then maybe there wasn't really a reason to keep things secret.
"He's a cop," he answered, "a detective actually. A very good one... didn't you know that?"

"He's not a detective!" Hiroki immediately answered then, ignoring the question he was being asked. "Ryochan is an idol, a singer in two groups and a great actor and host for TV shows! He's never even played the role of a cop in a drama before, what are you talking about?"
Maybe it was stupid of him, but for some reason Hiroki couldn't help but feel a bit upset. Of course, had Ryo been a cop then that would have been great for him, it would have been really cool actually. But imagine just how worried Hiroki would have been and how many nights he would have to sit and wait for him to get home and hope that the next time it knocks on the door it's just the neighbor or some random sales person and not one of the other cops that would come to deliever an awful message.
Thinking of it like that, made Hiroki realize that maybe if - in that parallell universe - the other Hiroki's Ryo was a cop... then wouldn't that mean that this Hiroki would worry a lot?
"Is your Ryochan a detective?" Hiroki asked then, not giving the other Hiroki much time to answer even though he had done a lot of thinking. "Mine is an idol..."

Upon watching how the other Hiroki acted, Hiroki couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy. Somehow he could relate to him and see why he was overreacting and such, but even so he really couldn't... he was talking fast and changing the subject even faster.
"My Ryochan is a detective...," he answered though as he hesitantly walked up to the couch to sit down. "And I'm a student, studying to become a lawyer...," Hiroki continued then and looked up at Hiroki with a small smile.
"You're not doing that, right?"

For a few seconds Hiroki could do nothing but blink at the other one. Before him a copy of himself was sitting and telling him that he was studying to become a lawyer and that his boyfriend was a detective. They were the ultimate goody-goody couple. On the right side of the law and everything...
"No I'm an idol...," Hiroki mumbled as he went to sit down next to Hiroki. "Tell me more about your Ryochan and your relationship!" he asked once seated and smiled widely. "I wanna hear everything about it and I'll tell you about mine and Ryochan's and everything you want to know!"

Normally Hiroki found himself to be the curious type, the one who wanted to know everything about everything but right now he didn't feel like that at all. He wanted to know how this was possible of course, but that was also all he wanted to figure out right now. How could this other Hiroki be so calm and collected about that fact and instead be all... excited about the fact that they were probably the same person and had the same boyfriend who was just a bit different.
"Hey," he hesitantly started, "aren't you a bit freaked out about this? What if Ryochan gets home? Which one will it be - because there are probably two of him too? And if he sees two of us he will be freaked out and you aren't even the slightest bothered by that? These things happen to you often or what?"

Hiroki fell silent then and lowered his eyes. That was true, he hadn't thought about that at all. Of course he found this weird and it was even a bit scary but if it really was that they were from different universes he couldn't help but think that they should talk as much as they could while they could. They probably would never get a chance like this again after all.
"Sorry...," he mumbled after a while and lowered his head slightly before looking at Hiroki. "If Ryochan gets home one of us should hide... maybe...?"

Upon hearing that, Hiroki rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"And what if it's my Ryochan that gets home and I hide? You don't know anything about me, you can't pretend to be me just because we look the same," he said, "besides my Ryochan would notice if it's me or not immediately so that's out of the question. You seem to be the stupid one out of us though so you should just hide and if it's your Ryochan that gets home I could just pretend to be stupid for a while and then you get out of the closet and we have that fixed."

"I'm not stupid!" the other Hiroki said then and even pouted a little. "And besides I think I know everything about you, more than you know at least. I know your shoe size and your height and weight and what you looked like when you were a baby and-"

*"But you don't know what I ate for breakfast, do you?"

"A sandwich with ham and cheese and sallad!"

When getting that reply Hiroki sighed heavily and lowered his head. Of course if there was one thing that the stupid one would get right just by guessing it would be a food question...
"Yeah, but you're just lucky on that one," he muttered and then looked at Hiroki again. "But that doesn't mean you know everything about me. If he would ask something about yesterday, you wouldn't know what to answer because you don't know what we did yesterday. And you don't know what I have mailed him about today. But if it's me then I could easily fix that even if it's your Ryo that gets home because I can improvise, and I can just act a bit silly and airhead and he won't get suspicious. You would have to be smart though. That's more difficult."

After Hiroki had said that there was a long silence before the other Hiroki did anything. When he did though, he lifted his head to look at the other one and let another few seconds pass during which no one said anything. Then when it seemed that he was done thinking he blinked almost as if confused at the other one.
"You realize you're not only bullying me but also yourself, right? Because we're the same."

"We are not the same," Hiroki sighed then and shook his head again before standing up. There was no way he could be the same as this guy after all, the guy was kind of stupid and silly. Granted that was the kind of guy that Ryo usually fell for but there were expections such as himself. Sometimes Ryo liked it when his boyfriend had some brains and not just a pretty face and silly behaviour - though of course they required both of those things as well.
"You're an idol, I'm not. You're probably super clingy and annoying, I'm just clingy. You're silly, I'm serious. You're stupid, I'm no-"
He didn't get to finish before both he and Hiroki heard how someone put a key in the lock to the door and turned it around.

"Crap," Hiroki let out as he hurried up and then quickly headed for the bedroom, Hiroki followed him and closed the door once they were both in the room. Now Hiroki felt as if he was panicking. There was no doubting it that the one coming home now was Ryo but neither of them had any idea of what Ryo it would be and they wouldn't know that before they would talk to him but they couldn't talk to him both of them so one would have to hide.
"Hide!" he thus hissed to the other one as he hurried over to the closet and opened the door. "Hurry!"

"I'm not hiding," Hiroki said though, still sticking to the idea of that it was him that should be the one having to act different if it would come to that. It wasn't as if what he had said was a lie after all; this other Hiroki was silly and stupid - he didn't think things through and no matter how much of an idol he was, there was no way he could actually act differently if he had to while being nervous and so on. It was obvious he was an idol because of his girly silliness.

When hearing how Ryo called out a 'I'm home', Hiroki let out a few sounds that made no sense and then opened the closet door.
"Come on, just hide already we can't have him see both of us, he'll get so scared and maybe even run away and think I cloned myself or something, just hide already!"

Ryo frowned when he heard how Hiroki was talking from the bedroom. As far as he knew they weren't going to have any guests or anything and even if they were, why would they be in the bedroom?
"Hiroki?" he thus asked out loud as he headed for said room. Maybe the younger one was talking on the phone or something, but no matter what it was still a bit weird because, while Ryo couldn't hear exactly what Hiroki was saying, he could tell by the sound of his voice that he was stressed or something.
Just in case the younger one wouldn't be alone, Ryo knocked on the door before finally entering their bedroom and then found Hiroki standing leaned back against the closet.
"Hiroki? What's up?"

Hiroki immediately shook his head then and put on a nervous smile.
"N-nothing!" he assured and leaned his head back against the closet behind him. "How was your day?"
Which Ryo was this? He honestly couldn't tell just yet, he was wearing Ryo's clothes, but Hiroki had no idea of what Ryo had been wearing when he'd left this morning, he'd left so early after all so himself he'd still been sleeping.

You would have to be really stupid not to get that Hiroki was acting sort of strange, and thus it didn't take very long before Ryo realized that the younger one most likely was hiding something in the closet. Something or someone, most likely someone and honestly the thought of that only made Ryo think of one thing - cheating.
"It was normal...," he answered as he walked up to the taller one and then nodded towards the closet. "Who's in there?"

"No one!" the younger one answered immediately and shook his head, his wide eyes of course giving him away. "No one at all, I'm just standing here because I feel like it! That's it, it's really comfortable to stand here you know, it's really nice!"
In the back of his head Hiroki could hear how the other Hiroki told him over and over that he was stupid and silly and that it should have been him who had hid in the closet instead. Thinking of it now, Hiroki realized that the other Hiroki had been right but he couldn't do anything about it right now.

Ryo sighed then as he shook his head and pushed Hiroki away. Honestly he didn't want to see who it was that was in this closet, who it was that apparently had gotten Hiroki interested so much but he had to deal with this and he wanted to know who he lost to so because of that Ryo opened the closet widely only to find... nothing but clothes.
"Huh?"

Having wanted to try to stop Ryo, Hiroki too saw what the older one did and let out a similar sound. The other Hiroki was gone, he wasn't there at all... and no matter how one looked at it, there was no way he could have escaped.
"Where did he go...," the younger one mumbled to himself then, genuienly confused.

"Where did who go?" Ryo asked in return, honestly not wanting to know the answer but at the same time feeling that he should ask. After all, now Hiroki had told him that there had been someone here and that someone was apparently gone... If you'd ask Ryo, he didn't know how the hell one could disappear from here and thus he would just have guessed that there had been no one there but since Hiroki had expected to see someone as well...

"Hiroki," the taller one said then and looked at Ryo. "There was another Hiroki here, seriously! He was studying to become a lawyer and he lived here and he had a boyfriend that was Ryochan too and he was a detective apparently, and...," Hiroki's words faded as he took notice in the expression on Ryo's face. He didn't believe him at all.

No matter how much Ryo wanted to think that Hiroki was joking, he could easily tell by how he acted that Hiroki seriously was confused and that he honestly believed that there had been another Hiroki hiding in the closet.
"You're kidding, right?" the older one asked with an amused tone. "There's no other Hiroki that lives here than you, you know. And there's just one of me too."

"No, no I'm serious!" Hiroki insisted then, "he came home and was just as surprised to see me as I was to see him and then after having made sure of who we were we talked some and then you got home. He called me stupid and stuff... but he was really kind of cold! He was like... a bit like Ryochan... when you're angry? Kind of...."

At this point there was no way that Ryo could hold back his laughter anymore and thus he laughed and shook his head multiple times. This was really hilarious, Hiroki could be like such a kid sometimes and have the wildest fantasy and imagination ever.
"Yeah, yeah sure," he chuckled before reaching up to place a kiss on the slightly taller one's lips. "I'm really happy there's just one Hiroki here now though."

Hearing that made Hiroki pout and he folded his arms over his chest.
"You don't believe me, do you?" he asked and immediately got a chucke in reply once more as Ryo shook his head. Hiroki could easily see why the older one wouldn't believe him though and probably that was more frustrating and annoying than that the other Hiroki had suddenly disappeared.
"Moou," he whined and walked over to the bed to first sit down and then a few seconds later lie down on his back. "He really, really was there though!"

Way too amused for his boyfriend's liking, Ryo followed and sat down on the bed next to Hiroki. Looking at him, he reached out a hand to ruffle his hair and then lean a bit closer.
"I don't care," he whispered, the amusement still audible in his voice but he really tried not to let it show. "As long as only you're here, I'm happy okay?"

Hiroki looked up at Ryo then, meeting the dark eyes that immediately convinced him off that this definitely was his Ryo and not the one that was a detective. What Ryo said was all that mattered though, he realized. It was all that mattered and this he closed his eyes and reached up to wrap his arms around the older one so they could kiss once more.

Surprised to get such a response from a seemingly sleeping Hiroki, Ryo was at first a bit too surprised to do anything, but then quickly answered the kiss. He didn't make it last for too long though and thus pulled back after some time to look at the younger one. The face Hiroki made when just having woke up was the most adorable thing ever, so he really wanted to see it.
"Well good morning."

Blinking a few times as his eyes adjusted to the sudden light, Hiroki frowned and then looked up at Ryo. This was different from what had happened just a few moments ago. This was very different... A quick glance at the closet showed him that it was closed and looking at Ryo again the clothes he was wearing were different.
"Good morning...," he mumbled as reality slowly caught up with him and then it finally dawned upon him that all that about a second Hiroki probably had been just a dream.
"I had the weirdest dream...," he continued, "there were two of me and then you got home and wouldn't believe me and... stuff..."

Raising his eyebrows at that, Ryo laughed shortly before he moved to lie on the other side of Hiroki, though still very close.
"Two Hiroki?" he asked, very amused to hear such a thing. "Well I wouldn't complain. Probably a good thing it's not real though, you get jealous very easily."
