So, the following is 800 words of birthday fic for Autumnia! Who is yet another totally awesome person born in the month of October.

Yes, indeed, this is an excerpt from the 7,000 plus words and growing Chapter 1 of Part 3 of TSG, Apostolic Way.  The chapter is entitled, The Other End of the Varsity Line.

Imagine my glee when I opened my inbox to see this sitting there. GLEE, I tell you. GLEE. And it is so very wonderful to read! Richard, in all his cranky Richard-ness. Asim! Edmund meeting Asim (again)!

Thank you! It's lovely to hear from you! Yes, Richard is very frustrated, as none of it is doing any good and Mary keeps thinking there is a cure and intends to keep him there until something changes and of course it won't except for the worse.

Haha, Edmund is way too enthused at the prospect of drawing up paperwork for Peter and Nurse Hawkins. Edmund is just thoroughly great in this scene, and the way he's itching for his sword is charming. Oh, all of them, ♥

Yes, there's a short part that proceeds the typewriter observation involving Nurse Hawkins flirting outrageously with Peter. This whole chapter has bits and pieces from across all the stories. I'm at about 7,000 now and wondering, with a shift to Peter's pov and a Narnia flashback if I should just make that a separate chapter. As it includes Peter and Richard, then Peter and flashback, then Peter and Asim, I'm thinking the answer is yes.

Richard is a goat. I'm very angry with him. He's quite a jerk and is so unpleasant to Mary, even if she did walk into this with both eyes wide shut. But it is fun to write him again.
