I grew up in balconies, choir lofts and rehearsal halls. Since I have a voice like a screeching cat it would be wonderful to have a voice to just go in with strangers and make magic. It wounds like a beautiful memory. Nice use of the prompt, well done.

Oh my, I haven't heard "Jubilate Deo" in years. We sang it as part of a spring concert in college sophomore year, I think?

I'm sitting here speechless because that piece is transporting me in so many ways...

I'm technically a soprano, but I would often leap at the chance to sing alto (and one memorable time in high school, tenor,) because those parts were so much more interesting. Given that I've played second and third clarinet most of my life, no one should be surprised.

So glad you had this experience!

What an experience that must have been! My throat tightened up when you "realized you were crying." Even though I don't believe I have heard this piece before, you did a wonderful job of helping me imagine it. Bravo!
