What a fun read! I love stories like this, and it was told wonderfully: simply and vividly so I could picture it all in my mind (and I'm often not any good at that!) and seemed easy and obvious even though I am convinced there's no such thing as ghosts :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

And that's fine, you can just think of it as fiction then. :)

...which is the kind of attitude that makes me happy to accept it as non-fiction. It's the people who need to make everyone think they're right that put me off; people who just go "well this happened, and I don't care what you think!" win me over to happily considering their stories non-fiction. There are tons of people who don't "believe in" evolution or global warming, and those things are still happening; the universe goes on being what it is regardless of what we think!

I've had strangeweirdshit happen throughout my life and half the time *I* don't believe it without external corroboration. It's why I can pick this story to tell, because Peggy was there, and she is still a good friend.

Point being, I get why people wouldn't believe it. :)

I was very impressed a brilliant story that had me concentrating ... which means I loved it!

I do believe there are ghosts. or presenses.? Have felt that at least once. Second time I was in an ancient building in Salisbury England on a tour, as we got to the really spooky area, my silver wishbone, which was fastened strongly round my neck fell to the floor. I call it my tallisman, usually it brings me luck.
This house we live in is haunted, a man died here, and wasn't found for days, but I think he is happy with us being here, I feel no evil, and he died peacefully.
