Bleh!

I am in such a poopy mood today. All I want is to get a haircut. It isn't that difficult. All I want is a standard mil-spec garrison haircut: 1-1/2" on top, 1/4" on the sides, hair tapered in the back and off the ears and collar. Is that so hard ( Read more... )

I realize this is a petty post, but if you can't rant on your blog, what can you post?

Give in to the angst... it is your desssstiny!

Ahem. I've just been going to the Supercuts near the local dimsum place lately. I have 'em do the full wash thing, because they need every edge they can get, but it's been okay. And for what you want, it'd work fine. Ja?

Except all of those quickie convenient salons were crammed too. I've had the same problem. Unless you're lucky, you have to wait, even morning or mid-day weekdays. Sucks to be us.

Barber Shops a-plenty! poguer September 6 2005, 16:59:49 UTC
That is one of the cool things about living in blue-collar, southside Chicago. The next most numberous establishments after pub/bars are the barber shops. We're not talking Supercuts or some foo-foo salons...no, we are talking good old fashioned, read a hunting magazine as you wait, old man type of barber shops where all it takes is one visit and the barber knows your name and how you want your hair cut. You should have stopped at one last time you were in town. Come to think of it, just pop in and get a hair cut now. You can spend the night with us and I won't subject you to any family other than my own (pretty unavoidable). Makes for an expensive haircut, but you would be happy with it and it would be a good excuse for a quick visit. What do ya think?

Seriously, I know how you feel. When we were living in the "North Shore", I had a heck of a time finding a barber shop. Keep looking, there has to be one in one of the smaller towns around you between work and home.
