New Toy!
I've just gotten off of my new vehicle issued to me by the mouse. It's a Segway! Granted, it's used and an older model, the i180, but it's based in my office and I get to tool around to the monorail shop, or hither, or thither or yon without walking. I think it totally makes sense for large campuses like yours. Better than little golf carts, and much better than walking. (Although I suppose it means less exercise? I'm pretty conscious of that nowadays, seeing as how I get, well, none.)
Given how much easier I can see it making life, I wouldn't worry about the nerdy aspect, it's just useful! But if you ever get to a point where you can't bear it anymore, you can turn it into an autonomous robot and make it play soccer.
