This is beautiful! Wherever did you run across the quote from "The Wolf Man?"

Thanks so much for writing this about Ted's experience and for showing such creative variety in illustrating how he came to believe as he did.

Thanks. I find I really enjoy writing Ted, for some reason.

Wherever did you run across the quote from "The Wolf Man?"

Why, googled it, of course. ;-)

Ah yes, Google solves all problems.

I feel like an old fart when I think back to the days of seeking information in card catalogues and bibliographies, when pen pals took weeks to respond and I had met all of my "friends" in person at least once...

Smart stuff you've written here. I dig it!

*snort*

Yes, it took me a while to work up the courage to start an lj account and join the r/t community, as I appear to be a good decade (and a half) past than the average age.

Excellently done. It really hits the mark in so few words, and the quotes fit perfectly, as does the last line. Perfect title, as well.

And having seen your comment above, I don't know if it helps to know that I'm also in the decade above the normal one. I just mutter to myself, "Too old, too poor and not dangerous enough" now and then. ;)

Thanks very much!

And it does help to know that the r/t community, at least, seems to be a bit more ahem, mature shall we say? than the average ff community!

However did I miss this? (I was having trouble keeping up with the flood of fics in this challenge, but still.) It's amazing -- the spareness of the prose gives it a HUGE impact, and these fragments of Ted's experience perfectly represent the kind of trajectory he must have gone through.

Really, really beautiful.

Thank you very much. It came to me as soon as I saw the picture prompt of the dude in the wolf mask behind the red curtain, and it ended up being one of my personal favorites. (even though it ends up being a bit rough on Ted at the end - darned JKR!)
