Mmm this is beautiful!! The infinite circle of thought in his head... good - bad - good... then sleep... then things moving on that he has no hold of...

OH yes, most definitely. I love this!!

This was wonderful! His train of thought was so natural, from good to bad and back again. Well done, loved it.

I liked this a lot -- it's a very plausible backstory for Remus's canon meltdown, and it captures the kinds of thoughts I'm sure he must have been having, with hints of joy and hope over the prospect of a family of his own mixed in with his habitual dark thoughts and fears of the worst. Happy to share this thing that was bigger than all their petty concerns. Aww.

I also like the way you've set it up so that part of what's preying on Remus's mind is the fact that they're still keeping their relationship secret (or so they think; *sigh*), but with the pregnancy, that's about to become impossible. Again, that's a really plausible reason for why he should get quite so upset.

Now I'm looking forward to reading "Coming Home"! (But I probably ought to wait until I'm done with my own Remus-comes-home fic first, so I don't get the scenarios muddled in my mind, heh.)

Thank you for the detailed comments!

I always felt, after reading DH, that Remus would have been happy when he first found out about Tonks' pregnancy. But, like you said, negative thoughts are too deeply ingrained in him.

I'm glad you think this scenario is plausible because I've been plotting it out for quite awhile.

Thanks again!

I liked the mixture of joy and panic, and how he can't quite convince himself out of his worst fears. It seems a very plausible look into how Remus responded to the baby news.
