Title: On the Cold Ground Author: phe_o Format watercolour Rating: PG Prompt: 8--Snow Patrol and Martha Wainwright lyrics Summary: It happened so fast... Author’s Note: Major spoilers.
Oh. Man. I just put the prompt and title together with the image and understood what this is. I had the same first reaction to your painting as Harry did when he saw them in the Great Hall...
I love Tonks, especially the brown showing in her hair, and her face really does look peaceful. (And she chose turquoise? Was that for Teddy? *sniffle*) We can't see much of Remus's face, but the way he is lying there is lovely and heartbreaking.
Thank you so much! I just about cried while doing it, and it's been years since I took out the 'ol watercolors but I'm pretty happy with how Tonks turned out> I did the turquoise because I thought Teddy would probably be her final thought, and while her hair would likely be turning its natural color when she died (well, probably...) I think that last remaining, mothering thought would probably hold, at least for a little while. :(
Aww, thank you so much! She had to be thinking of him at the end there, I think, and our Tonks... I doubt she'd be able to control that last, final morph in such a harrowing situation. ;___;
Oh, thank you so much! It's been years since I've done a watercolor and I'm so glad you like it. I do think that Tonks's hair would probably morph at the very last minute there, thinking of Teddy... :( So sad... Thanks again!

I love Tonks' smeared eye make-up and the fact she's morphed blue for Teddy (?)
Remus is just fine, though perhaps face up would have been better.
Fantastic job. My hat's always off to people who can draw.
