Wow -- what a striking contrast, between things in Remus's life that are horrible and things that are good (or more pleasant, in typical Remus understatement). I liked this piece a lot. I'll echo phe_o's comment about the rhythm -- it's powerful, and the way the last part is structured the same way as the others, but means something so different, is very effective.
