This is an interesting set of connections. You move from Remus wishing for love, to his various encounters with Tonks where he finds her more annoying than anything else, to the end where he admits that he loves her. I wonder what it was that made him change the way he saw her? (I mean, in addition to the simple fact that she grew up. ;) )

I especially liked this part:
Instinct told him to turn around and catch her, as surely she was falling.
But for once, Tonks remained steady on her feet, staring into his eyes.

This is a beautiful symbol for the relationship they arrive at by the end, where Tonks's love for Remus is steady enough for him to start to trust her.

I love it when you guys find more that I do! It IS what I was going for, though, the fact that when it matters and she has to stand up for him, she can.

As for the interwining the first parts and finding out when his feelings changed--I'll bet that's a fic to come, now isn't it? ;)

This is one of the best stories I've ever read on rt_challenge, and I've been here since the very beginning. Everything about this was so wonderful. Definitely saving it to re-read later. :-)
