Well now I'm feeling sad, too! The simplicity of this piece only increases the affect it has on the reader, I think. Because in the wake of grief, you do only consider the very simple fact that you have lost.

This is a really powerful piece, well done.

My grandfather fell and broke his hip a few months back, and I remember how upset I was then, even knowing that he was going to be okay. I tried to tap into the emotion that Remus would feel after he finally realized that Tonks wasn't going to be okay. I have a feeling that it would shatter the rest of his broken soul. :(

Aside from that, it was really nicely written. It flowed well, you really felt like a part of the piece, and did I mention you broke my heart?
