I enjoyed reading this. It was well written with nice language.

It's not a perspective I've seen tackled before. There's something of the fear imagined being worse than the of the actual thing and that perhaps neither Tonks or Remus are tackling this in the right way.

I did get the sense that you might have been repeating yourself at times. I'm wondering if the paragraph that starts 'She was nothing to the wolf.' is necessary or could be reworded to lead more directly into 'She did care.' Just at thought.

Well done!

Thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated. :)

It sounds silly, but I saw a snippet of a late night movie last week with a werewolf. It was terrible and overdone, but it still made me think, "Yes, I think Remus is one of the most kind and honourable characters in the books, but the werewolf thing is still scary." I can't imagine any human being, no matter how much they loved someone, not being at least a little afraid of a condition like that.

It is repetitive. If I ever post it anywhere else, I'll be looking to neaten it up, so I appreciate the heads up on where it might need it.

Thanks again!

This is a really good concept and rarely done - having Tonks acknowledge that she's frightened of the wolf. I particularly like the way you make it give her a maturity that belies her bubbly personality. I also enjoyed all the different ideas you've put into it - the way her thoughts flow from fright to love. Good job!

Thank you. :) As much as Tonks loves Remus, I can't imagine how anyone couldn't be at least a little afraid of a condition like that. And I prefer to think that she is, because I don't see Tonks as a cardboard-cutout comic relief character - and I don't think anybody does, after HBP. She comes across as being more mature underneath than she's given credit for.

This is a concept I've been thinking about lately, that when Tonks says she doesn't care, that's not really what she means. I think Remus has this idea that she's not concerned about the wolf, becuase she hasn't communicated clearly. So I really like what you've done with this, and how you've played with fear of the unknown, yet Tonks not wanting to see Remus transformed -- I think that's much more realistic than the idea of Tonks cuddling up with the werewolf. Very well done.

Thank you! Compliments from you always mean a lot. Cuddling up to the werewolf fics are a slight pet peeve of mine, I have to admit! :) I love Remus in the books. I think he's one of the most honourable HP characters. But werewolves are scary. Particularly the HP werewolves! And I don't think it would be human nature if you weren't at least a little afraid of that side of someone that you loved.

Thank you so much - for your review at ff.net, as well. :) I'm so glad that you liked them; I think R/T is my favourite ship to try writing.
