Hmm. I think the title is strangely appropriate. I like the contrast they were feeling between the magical and muggle worlds. Even though the ending was disconcerting, it had very strong emotions behind it.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm very glad you liked the contrast which was the main thing I was trying to emphasis with this fic.

You know, there was a prompt the last challenge (the picture of the Oxford spires) that set me to pondering the two worlds, side by side, and this piece has really expressed it better than I could have hoped. It's like a curious mirror with a great big dissonant crack right down the middle, and I like how the two of them are uncomfortable even in the midst of harmless normality. I really like it!

There is a typo (repeated phrase) in the second sentence: There was the one she was the one she was currently visiting

Thanks. I really like the sort of implied situation that JKR has created with the same geographical place being both chaotic with a war going on and completely normal at the same time. I’m glad you liked it.

And thanks for pointing out the typo so I could fix it.

Wow, this was really effective for such a short piece. The image of Remus and Tonks on a picnic really reminds me too much of Julia and Winston from '1984', and I love how even though there's no threat, there's no chance of enjoying ones' self either. Good stuff: I will go through and read all your fics from the challenge over the weekend, I think.

Thanks. Thinking about it, it is kind of like that picnic Julia and Winston take in the countryside. Subconscious inspiration, I suppose. I must get my own copy of 1984, it’s been too long since I last read it. I’m very glad you like the fic.
