Not every author can write such an accurate (and painful) portrait of the most unhealthy aspects of Remus and Tonks, but you pull it of wonderfully. Thank you very much for sharing it.

I think most authors tend to neglect potentially unhealthy aspects, at least most R/T authors do. R/S authors, due to their ship, write dysfunction better while R/T authors want happy fluffy kids and happily ever after. Thank you for your kind words and reading.

Augh.... the pain and dysfunction are just amazing.

She knows that’s not the way to think or act or be, but love is so ridiculous and intangible and this war is taking such a toll that holding on to what she can have, and what holds her back, is enough.

That's a great line.

You know, I tend to be a bit of an angst junkie - if there's an even less happy version of this I suspect I'd find it the equivalent of seriously good mainlining.

The less happy version wasn't very Remus/Tonks, actually. But I think I'm writing a R/S, R/T fic soon so we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading!
