Wotcher! :D
Welcome to rt_morelove! As you will have surmised from the name, it’s a community that aims to give ‘a little more love’ to the characters of Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks, by way of new fics and art. And doing so, hopefully, with plenty of readers and reviewers contributing as well. We’d very much like it to be a fun and friendly place, and with as many fans of both characters as possible getting involved. Keeping an eye on the organisational side of things are your three mods: gilpin25, huldrejenta and shimotsuki. Two of us have been around the fandom for a long time now, and one of us is a more recent convert. We hope we're a good mix of old ideas, new ones, and much love for Remus and Tonks.
In an effort to hit the ground running - or flying high on our broomsticks - we thought we’d start with a small event right away: The R/T Stocking Filler Exchange 2013. After all, it’s the holidays, and we all need something to do? ;) The plan is for it to run for a month until 20th January 2014, giving plenty of time for submissions. We’ve endeavoured to keep it as straightforward as we can, but we’d ask you to read what is behind the cut carefully as it’s the first time for us all, and there is some general information before details of the event itself.

If you read and inwardly digest these, as Remus Lupin would say: “It would tend to give you an edge!” More seriously, please do so, as we want this to be fun for all and not at all brain-taxing!
1. Content.
We're sure it’s pretty obvious from the name, but it's a community for fans of Remus and Tonks and their relationship, whether they’re involved romantically together or not. So the one and only golden rule (or the pink one) when it comes to content, is that while you can certainly mention/use other imagined relationships, whether past or present, the R/T one should be the main focus of your fic or art. For example, if your story is about Remus/Someone Else, and Tonks only appears fleetingly for a paragraph, then we’d respectfully suggest this isn’t the best place for it.
Other than that, we’d be very happy to see AU, death denial fic (what deaths?), R/T gen fic, use of the information from Remus’s recent bio at Pottermore (or ignoring it;)), and ideas such as time travel where Tonks could bump into a young Remus in the Marauder-era (or vice versa). We’d love to see some Teddy-centric stories/art here as well, perhaps where he learns something about his parents, and we get the chance to see how he and any other characters are affected by it. Fun as well to see Remus and Tonks through the eyes of other characters - the list of possibilities is endless and up to you.
2. Ratings
At the moment, and for a first event over the holidays, we’re only accepting fics, graphics and art up to and including R rating. Please ensure appropriate warnings are given outside the LJ cut, and that any art is work safe to view.
3. Plagiarism
We won’t tolerate anyone taking anyone else’s work and claiming it as their own. We’ve been around for years in the fandom and will know if you do.
Now to the main event!
The Stocking Filler Exchange 2013
Step 1. Sign up at the post above this one, and indicate whether you’re doing so as a writer, artist, or reader.
Step 2. Leave up to 3 prompts as you sign up. Prompts can be whatever you like, as in a word, a quote, a specific scene, lyrics, pics (work safe, please) or simply a request for something you'd particularly like to read or see. Seasonal and holiday-themed ones are nice, of course, but absolutely not essential. Readers are most welcome to leave prompts as well, if they'd like to, for the writers and artists to choose from; the more the merrier and the greater the choice.
Step 3. Choose a prompt provided by someone else that appeals to you, and claim that prompt by replying directly to their sign up, clearly indicating which one you have claimed.
NB. More than one person can claim the same prompt, and please do not be offended if none of your prompts get chosen. We don't know how many will take part, and if readers contribute up to 3 prompts as well, as we hope they will, then obviously neat and equal numbers of writers, artists and prompts is never going to happen. Besides, someone may come up with a prompt that everyone fancies a go at!
Step 4. Once you’ve claimed your prompt, you can get to work!
With regard to fics, you can submit anything from drabbles (100 words minimum) to chapter-length epics. Short fics to big bang length, it’s up to you. The same goes for art: one picture or several graphics, if you wish.
Although it's an exchange over the holiday period, the fics and art do not have to be seasonal or holiday-related at all!
Posting will open on December 24th, details of exactly how to do so will be provided then, and once you’ve posted your first submission, we’d be thrilled to see you come back, claim another, and do it all over again. :)
