I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off this week and next Friday is a holiday, which means I have a four-day weekend this weekend and three-day weekend next weekend. I'm going to use this time to do what I love to do on long weekends and write prompt snippets ( Read more... )

I'd really like something focused on Ovi - it's the offseason, so maybe summer fun in Russia? or possibly Sid & Ovi interaction. or maybe Sid/Geno with a heaping side of Ovi for fun and aggravation.

"Uh," Tyler says, scrunching up his face. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Jamie sighs. He's going to have to be really direct. "Is Brownie hurting you in ways you don't want? Or not respecting your limits? Because the romance novel thing about how not having limits makes a good sub is bullshit."

Tyler's cheeks turn bright red and his mouth drops open.

"He is your dom, right?" Jamie asks, because he might as well check in that he's asking the right questions about the right things. "Or your primary one or whatever your arrangement is?"

"Uh, yeah," Tyler says, still bright red and looking startled.

One of the doors to the backyard opens, and Brownie's voice carries through to the kitchen. "I thought you were bringing me a beer." He stops just inside the kitchen and looks between them. "What's going on?"

Tyler walks over to Brownie and puts his arms around him, ducking his head to nestle it just under Brownie's chin. And then Brownie's glaring at Jamie, like he's the problem ( ... )

Danny eyes the message with suspicion. He's trying to get to know his new team, but he also knows how hockey players can be, and he doesn't know who the pranksters on this team are yet. Why?

They sit at the table to eat, because both Paul and Geno expressed surprise that James even had a table and now James has to prove its usefulness.

The chili looks good, but James bites into his cornbread first, without even pausing to put butter on it. It's perfect, moist and flavorful, sweet without being too sweet.

"Good?" Paul asks.

James looks up from his cornbread and gives him a thumbs-up.

"Very good," Geno says. "You master chef."

Paul smiles. "Maybe not a master chef."

"You're my favorite chef," James says now that his mouth is free of cornbread.

The corners of Paulie's eyes crinkle up with his smile. "Thanks."
