♥ Plot bunnies are so great! I actually have a Google doc for them now, and I try to remember to past them in there so I can do this sort of post every once in a while. (We won't talk about all the unfinished fic lying about.)

I can't bear to let them just linger in email without being shared with the world.

Yes! Those stories should totally exist. (Also, it doesn't have to be Caelan if you want it to be one of the other kids. I just picked one.)

I love some of these SO much - what great ideas you have!

Is there a story where Sidney Crosby is gay and knows that about himself? Because I would read that.

you've probably already read these - there are several where he's already in a relationship, but the one that immediately springs to mind is:

Hanging With the Unloved Kids by ChibiRHM
Summary: Sidney Crosby has known a few things for most of his life: he knows that he loves hockey more than anything, he knows that 87 is his lucky number, and he knows that he’s gay.

there's also Morning to Wake You by oflights
Summary: I've been calling this The Sexual Misadventures of Sidney Crosby forever, and that gives you an idea, but just in case: in which Sidney wins a gold medal, has sex (a lot), falls in love (twice), and breaks a bunch of rules.

♥ Thank you!

I have read both of those! And they were both posted after I tweeted that particular plot bunny. I still want more fic about Sid just being gay. (Really, I want fic like Love in Fast Forward about everyone.)

I'm amused at the number of these I can identify as being written in emails to me!

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR BRIOUX PLOTBUNNIES. marycontraire October 21 2012, 16:44:31 UTC
1. Okay, I love the idea of a "should we have more kids?" fight. Trying to decide, though, if I think Danny would be the one pushing for more, or Claude.

You know what else would be interesting, though? Claude having a kid on his own, and then getting Danny involved. Like, I think that his girlfriend is even younger than he is? What if they got pregnant accidentally, and she didn't want to keep it, but he did? And then she decides, well the reason I don't want to keep it is because I'm not ready to be a mom and I'm not dropping out of college to raise it, etc., but if you want full custody, okay, we can do that. So obviously Claude and kid move in with Danny once he realizes how hard this parenting gig is, and Danny totally did want another kid, so he's all :D and the kids are all OMG THAT THING IS LOUD, CLAUDE, YOU SUCK. Until it learns to, like, giggle, and then they're like, okay, the baby is kid of funny and can stay. I kind of really want that fic but couldn't write it myself because it would be hard to do without ( ... )

1. YES. There should be all the disagreements about having more kids.

Ooooooh, yessss. I would read that story! I think you could make that work without treating the girl badly. You'd have to be careful about it, but it could be possible.

I do have tiny bits of a story where Claude has a baby and Danny is the nanny (and still has shared custody of his own kids), because I too wanted the story where Claude has the baby and then Danny gets involved.

2. HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, Laviolette. I don't really understand hockey as a sport well enough to write same line fic, but they seem to be on the ice together in Germany, so maybe some of that is happening in real life.

3. Um, yes, someone should write that! (I really like stories that break the pattern of everything else in a fandom.)

"No homo," Claude chuckles into the side of Danny's face as Danny presses him down into the mattress ( ... )
