I almost didn't make a post about this, and here's why: I read the book once, and quickly, and once I was done, I was, in many ways, done with Harry Potter. I no longer remember any details about the book, so seeing the movies was like meeting the story anew all over again. There's something they kept in the movie that made me wince (see below the

I managed to talk my mother into seeing it again, and I actually cried more this time. (I think I was not tensed up worrying what they might change, so it affected me more?)

I agree with you about Molly Weasley. (Actually I would have preferred either Neville or Hermione to kill Bellatrix in the first place, since their harms from her were more personal, but I guess it doesn't go with the whole "mother's love saves the world" theme that's going on there).

I will send H/D recs your way if I run into them.

I'm still surprised by how little I cried in the first place! I expected to cry way more.

(Ooh, that would have been interesting, although, yes, the theme. I think there are a lot of other interesting things that could have happened if it weren't for that theme.)
