Revelation in the Gap dressing room

This is the fifth in an occasional seriesWhen all my pants were too big, I decided I would wait until fall to buy new ones because I would just wear skirts all summer. The flaw in this plan is that it's freezing in my office (something that was not true last summer), so even when it's 100 outside, I'm wearing jeans and socks and shoes to work. ( ( Read more... )

Lol, I spent my entire childhood with people saying, "Just float, it's easy" and I could never ever do it, I always just sank. When I reached adulthood my top half started floating but I can never get my legs into the act. My favorite part is that every time I try I briefly think I"m succeeding, and then my heels thud against the pool bottom. Stupid dense legs!

I also find it amusing that you find your legs "wierdly skinny" and thus don't want the pants. I have this mental picture of you throwing down these skinnify-ing pants only to have another girl hear your comments and scoop them up hoping for the wierdly skinny effect (I have a little video in my head, you keep trying on the skinny pants and she keeps grabbing your cast-offs and screaming with frustration cuz they don't do it for her. (Maybe I need more sleep...))

*sigh* I miss my ability to float! It was so easy, and so peaceful to just lie on my back in the water and look at the sky and the trees. (I time my visits to the pool so that the sun has set or is setting while I'm there. It saves me from the hassle of sunblock!)

Ahahaha! They look all out of proportion!
