*sniffles* This is gorgeous and heartbreaking. Sirius is such a presence here even though he's not actually there at all. And you've written Peter very convincingly.

Thank you! I don't tend to write a lot of angst and unhappy endings make me feel like the characters - all empty. *sigh* Ah, Sirius. But I was glad I finally got to give Peter a larger role in a fic. I always feel badly when he gets less 'screen time' than the others. I'm glad you liked it! ♥

Oh, this was haunting!

I love how Sirius permeated every moment of this and yet was never physically present. And I felt so for everyone... the alienation...wow. Poor, lovely, Remus, though.

Beautifully written and so sad. I loved the way you incorporated the text of Lily's letter to Sirius from canon. Very effective!

Damn, that hurt. I kept waiting for Sirius to finally show up. I was sure he'd appear. And then, no luck, just that dismal ending. EXquisite, my dear. This was beautiful.

Sorry about that. :) Ah, Sirius. He's a bit lost right now. Thinking about what must have happened between them (even without R/S as a couple) always makes me rather depressed. *sigh* But I'm glad you liked it! Thank you!

Oh, so heartbreaking. I especially loved Peter in this; I understand how easy it was for everyone to trust him, especially when everything else was falling apart: he seems steady, normal, and reliable, and so present when everyone else has left or been forced to leave. A fic that really forces me to remember just how desperatelow Remus--and all the Marauders--got. And I agree with the other comments: Sirius's presence was so strong and undeniable through the whole story.

Heartbreaking ;___; Peter doing his planting doubt act, and Lily trying to keep the humour even in the dark times...oh, I need a pick-me-up now. This is gorgeous heartbreaking stuff!

Thank you so much! :) Yes, sad and rather depressing times, but then I think of how in DH, James was blowing bubbles out of his wand, and they seemed, well, if not outright happy, at least happy to be together, and they really did think they were safe. *sigh*

I'm glad you liked it, and hopefully you found a good pick-me-up. (Go read the fic Min wrote for me - it's after this one! Nice and fluffy and happy hijinks! :-P)
