Woah, interesting! I don't know anything about Battlestar Galactica, but nice work all the same! Especially loved how you wrote in the bits of war that they are all involved with. And the awkward relationship between Sirius and Remus...I hope they do resolve it, somehow! (:

Thanks so much for giving it a whirl, even though you didn't know the crossover world. And then thanks for sticking with it, considering I really didn't give any insight into who Gaeta is in his world.

And, boys! Idiots the lot of them.

Thanks again!

SQUEEEEEEEE!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for writing this!!!! You made my day. No, my week.

I love this. I love that awkwardness between Remus and Sirius, which you conveyed so beautifully with so few words. I loved the relationship between Sirius and Lily, which on the surface seems so comfortable but then is filled with not being able to tell each other things and then under that... And I LOVED Gaeta in this. And his friendship with Sirius. Which was so interesting, because Gaeta is one of the younger, more naive characters on the show. It was neat to get to see him be the more experienced party in certain ways, and give Sirius the kick in the ass he needed about talking to Remus.

There's just so much lovely loneliness between them, which you've expressed so very nicely, and how they're both sort of in similar positions of helplessness and their word falling around them and loving someone that they can't really get to love them back with the wholeheartedness that they're trying to give. And I loved Sirius giving ( ... )

Oh, gosh. Thank you so much for this comment. You made my day too. And you're more than welcome. I knew going in that I was pretty much writing this for me and for you. :)

It's funny, I knew I wanted to play Sirius and Gaeta off one another but it wasn't until I sat down to write that I realized how similar their stories are (and Remus'). And I cut so much here because of length and time constraints (particularly Gaeta coming to terms with the Cylon arrival and his position and how he comes to decide to run info to the Resistence). I was at 3000 words before I even knew it. I'd like to flesh it out more in the coming month or so, but I may wait and see what RDM and crew have in store for Gaeta before I get too invested.

Anyway, that's just me babbling. So looking forward to Jan 16! And then I want to cry b/c I'll be out of the country for 3 weeks! I've already got friends who are threatening to send evil texts/e-mails saying 'OMG' and 'You won't believe'. Bastards! The lot of them. ;)

They really are, aren't they? It made total sense to me. They all get SCREWED :) But this was seriously so wonderful. ::sighs happily::

Have you been watching the webisodes? They're very Gaeta heavy and oh so much fun. I'm so dying for the 16th, too. Almost here! And then RDM will tear my heart into tiny pieces and jump up and down on them.

YOU WINZ THE INTERWEBS, YES.

Thanks for this. It's fics like this that renew my faith in the good evolution of fanfic.

I don't know anything about the crossover universe, but that's OK, because you fed us just enough information throughout the story to stop me getting lost. Lovely - I love the idea of an outsider sorting Remus and Sirius out :).

Oh, I've been on the lookout for this one ever since I saw the prompt. Awesome. As my love for BSG makes my love of R/S look like a monster truck next to a matchbox car, I have to say, this was great. And considering what we now know about Felix from the webisodes, I think this crossover is even more perfect.
It was a little depressing but very comforting. I love the teasing ending -- I can almost believe that this universe splits off from cannon and R/S gets a happy ending.
