Ugh, now you've made me hungry. I love the idea of Remus sort of learning to be an adult in front of us. Usually either one of them is already a remarkably good cook, or they're terrible, but this, not knowing how to manage the food, but ! It was just perfect. The lessons learned while growing up. And how sweet they are with each other. I love Remus' wish for a gift. Never mind, I loved all of this. Wonderfully sweet and full of the good parts of the holiday season. Fabulous job.

Thank you for so much for your kind & generous comment! I'd actually never written about cooking or food before, so I did enjoy the challenge to try and make it more than just a litany of random disasters... And what a perceptive point you make about Remus growing up, of course there's bits of that in the fic but I hadn't consciously thought about it, if you know what I mean?
