Ok so far I've only had time to read 3/4 of this first part, but just wanted to say, what a great read! Really lovely language and great characterisation and very beautiful metaphors in there (even if, for me, it does all get a tad wordy at times) - "buttery light" being my current favourite. And you capture the all-consuming desperate longing so well! While still keeping it funny.
That whole bit describing where Andromeda lives and how Remus remembers her at school and so on is just wonderful! Absolutely loved that.
Looking forward to reading more! (I'll prob end up giving in to the urge to comment more as I progress as well...)

Sorry it's taken me so long to read and comment, but I have been saving this. You know how it is, every box of chocolates contains that one special one that you just know you're going to love, and this fic is that candy.

Now I am savoring it.

I'm so glad I've stumbled across this fic; this is 100% my cup of tea. Your writing is exquisite and had me rereading and rereading just to realise the absolute beauty of some moments. Your descriptions sounds like translations of some anglo-saxon epic (in a good way!)

The Order may not be a paying concern, and for all he knows this might have been the plan all along: let the werewolf in, give him regular meals, suffocate him with a generosity that’s more like basic human decency and he’ll wear your leash for as long as you can hold it.

I love this part. I certainly feel there's something not altogether altruistic in Dumbledore's treatment of Remus, but it's not something you tend to come across in fanfiction often.

Anyway. Just wanted to stop by and let you know how much I'm enjoying your writing and looking forward to reading Part Two.
