Wow. *lets out a long, slow breath* This is just wow. Your language, the emotion packed into this... amazing!
Oh, that part - 'Can you imagine anything that makes you feel more alone than being with people who share their history....They don’t mean comfort to me, they mean showing me what’s lost.' so true and the life's cruelest irony *sighs* So glad this has a happy end, I wasn't expecting it, to be honest (:

And when they're touching in the dark and 'how his heart is still able to beat in this moment is beyond him.' Nnngh. That's as coherent as it's getting, sorry xD

Lovely! I'm going to second what other folks said about including the reactions of those around Remus after 1981--because clearly the story of Sirius-the-traitor was compelling enough to land him in Azkaban, and even in PoA Remus doesn't seem quite convinced that Sirius coming back is a good thing. I always enjoy it when stories take that period of betrayal seriously, as this one does. Loved the interlude with Dumbledore, as well. Enjoyed! M.

Lovely and sad and hopeful at the same time. It was good to read about what Remus heard and had to deal with after Voldemort's first fall--that had to be such a layer over everything for him. Very interesting and enjoyable read.

Oh I love this. So sad and yet so realistic. So many writer seem to forget the basic thing that dementors do - steal your happy memories. Nice to see one that covers it so beautifully.

I especially liked the Dumbledore cameo.

Thank you so much!
I do think that Sirius had to be somewhat more damaged after Azkaban than he wanted to let Harry see, and I'm glad you enjoyed my take on that.
