Oh, this was great. Everytime I watch a movie set in Victorian England I can't help but think how much the hair and everything would just suit Remus so well, so I can definitely say it made me happy to read this. =]

Hurrah for the historical AU! This has a lot of potential: I'd love to see how you continue to work with canon. Sirius makes a great lord of the manor (and I like him on horseback instead of on the motorbike *grins*)

I think that's what makes AU more fun, when you work with the canon and see how it would fit in along with the AU. Constantly thinking and rethinking everything, it gives you room to be creative, without potentially wandering off into the world of OOC-ness. (And yes, I adore the idea of Sirius on horseback as well. In my first attempt at this prompt, Sirius nearly ran down Remus while riding on horseback, and that's how the pair met initially. XD;)

Heh - I've read quite a few fics which seem to cast Snape in the Mr Rochester role; it would be a twist to have that be Sirius instead *ggg*
